Carl R. Webb Mr. Webb is the Managing Partner and Founding Member. He is the firm’s Chief Executive Officer and provides overall direction of the firm and its investment strategies. Mr. Webb has over 27 years of experience in the residential mortgage industry, mortgage finance, credit risk management, securitization and servicing. As a former Managing Director at MBIA Insurance Corporation in the Global Real Estate and Secondary Markets Group from 1992 – 2008, Mr. Webb had responsibility for global market development and risk management of a $48 billion residential agency and non-agency mortgage-backed securities portfolio. Mr. Webb oversaw a global team that focused on securitized transactions of global residential mortgages in the U.S., Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America. In 1994, Mr. Webb started MBIA’s Structured Finance Secondary Markets business. The Secondary Markets business became a premier business platform for insuring triple-A rated RMBS, mezzanine CRE and CDO debt, autos, credit cards, student loans and small business loans. This business consistently generated over $50 million in revenue annually for MBIA. Mr. Webb first joined MBIA’s Structured Finance Division in 1992, where he had responsibility for the division’s quantitative analytics. Mr. Webb directed a senior team of 15 employees charged with generating quantitative analytics, credit risk analysis, risk based pricing and statistical modeling for the global structured finance division. Prior to joining MBIA, Mr. Webb worked at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac where he held positions responsible for structuring mortgage-backed securities transactions, managing loan servicing operations, new business development and mortgaged-backed securities accounting. Mr. Webb is also a volunteer in the community advising local organizations on affordable housing issues and providing counseling agencies with techniques and resources for combating the existing housing crisis. Mr. Webb holds a mathematics and economics degree from Bowdoin College. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Mark Zucker Mr. Zucker is a Partner and the firm’s Chief Risk Officer. Mr. Zucker has over 34 years of experience in the capital markets with a focus in structured finance and credit risk management in the US and abroad. Mr. Zucker started his career at G.E. Credit Corporation and then moved to Manufacturers Hanover Bank from 1978-1986 as a Senior Vice President in the Special Products Group. Mr. Zucker then spent 12 years at Deutsche Bank (1986-1998) in the Corporate Finance and Credit business where he was elevated to Senior Director in the Global Credit Risk Management Group in Frankfurt and London. In this role he had the highest individual credit authority below the firm’s Managing Board of Directors. Mr. Zucker was also the Chief Credit Officer of the Investment Banking Division of Rabobank International from 1998-1999 where he managed a staff of 60 that was responsible for credit in the fixed income, short-term interest rate and equity derivatives. In this role Mr. Zucker devised a credit process encompassing credit control, information technology, approvals and exposure management functions reflecting the risks associated with each investment product, while facilitating the ability to capitalize on market opportunities. From 2000-2007, Mr. Zucker was Global Head of Structured Finance at MBIA and was a key member of the firm’s Executive Credit Committee and the Market Risk Committee. At MBIA, Mr. Zucker was responsible for six global groups: Real Estate & Secondary Markets, CDOs, Commercial Securitization Group, Consumer Asset Finance, Financial Institutions and Operating Assets & Whole Company Securitizations. Mr. Zucker was also the Executive Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer at RVI, a specialty insurance products company that underwrites residual value insurance for real estate, passenger vehicles, commercial equipments, independent leasing companies, credit unions and insurance companies. Additionally, he was a Member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Group Underwriting Committee, Chairman of the Enterprise Risk Committee and member of the Executive Leadership Committee. Mr. Zucker holds a B.A. from State University of New York at Plattsburgh and an MBA from the University of Connecticut. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Jason N. Barrett Mr. Barrett is a Partner and Head of Investor Relations. He was formerly a Vice President in Merrill Lynch's FICC Asset Management (FAM) Group with responsibility for syndicating the firm's Global Structured Finance & Investments (GSFI) positions ($25bn+) to hedge funds and asset managers. Prior to joining FAM, Mr. Barrett was responsible for originating senior, mezzanine and equity investment for GSFI's Alternative Asset Platform (Consumer, Commercial & Industrial, Intellectual Property, Aviation and Esoteric). Mr. Barrett also worked as a Vice President in Debt Capital Markets at Credit Suisse where he executed investment grade transactions for clients in the U.S. and Switzerland. In addition, Mr. Barrett served as a Senior Business Manager in Fannie Mae's Credit Policy Division responsible for evaluating synthetic mortgage risk transfer and syndicating risk to Financial Guarantors/ Mortgage Insurance companies. Mr. Barrett began his banking career in 1998 as an associate in Morgan Stanley's Structured Products Group and holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Howard University (Trustee Scholar) and MBA from Cornell University's Johnson School (Robert Toigo Fellow). In 2007, the Robert Toigo Foundation recognized Mr. Barrett with the Leading by Example Award. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Lloyd Ucko Mr. Ucko is a Partner and Head of Fundraising. He has over 20 years experience in the financial services industry. Most recently, he was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs in the private wealth division. Prior to that, he spent 10 years as a Senior Vice President at Advest, as a wealth management professional and also co-head of a 27 broker branch in New York City. Previously Mr. Ucko had 10 years of experience in institutional fixed income sales at Goldman Sachs in New York and Frankfurt, Germany. He was charged with helping major institutional investors in the USA and Germany manage their taxable fixed income portfolios including corporate, mortgage-backed and government bonds and derivatives. Mr. Ucko also spent 10 years in a family machine tool business, importing metalworking machinery from West Germany. Mr. Ucko has a B.A. in political science from Dartmouth University and an MBA in marketing from the Tuck School at Dartmouth. Mr. Ucko is on the advisory board of Family Connections in Orange, NJ, which is a community based counseling and family services agency. | | | | | | |
